Aromas of crushed pineapple, beeswax, lemon curd and jasmine lead into this generous, palate-coating wine. Those flavors persist along with pie crust and a jolt of salinity and citrus notes in the middle, finishing with a long, lingering acidity and vanilla bean note.
It would be hard to find a better Chardonnay at this price. A blend of grapes from two AVAs, it’s been given reserve-level care, including aging in 10% new French oak. Toasty, tasty and well balanced, it offers ripe apple fruit accented with nut butter and caramel.
Light, glistening gold. Spice- and smoke-accented pear, melon and tangerine on the nose, along with a building hint of vanilla. Silky, palate-coating citrus and orchard fruit and fennel flavors smoothly blend depth and energy. Shows strong tenacity on the incisive finish, which features subtle vanilla and bitter citrus pith qualities.
